HAND CRAFTED PRODUCTS
Materials preparation. Firstly we select the fabric/yarn and prepare for dyeing with natural dyes. This means soaking and mordanting ready for dye bath.
Dye baths. They are prepared in small batches to guarantee the highest quality colour absorption.
Steamer. To seal the colour and print there is a generous amount of steaming required to make sure the colour is secured and safe to wear.
Atelier. Our seamstress/hand knitter will individually hand cut and sew or hand knit to the highest standards. Garment making time varies according to the difficulty of textile design.
Order Preparation & Packaging. The final stage is the quality control. We have a zero plastic policy and all our labels and packaging are made from nature friendly, biodegradable materials. You will be notified personally when your order is ready to ship.
Note. For the garments containing additional textile manipulations such as pleating or hand, embroidery will require extra time.
MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS
Materials Selection. Textile swatches are designed and developed in house. Hand intensive processes allow careful selection of materials and waste management.
Custom colour. To get even colour in a bigger size fabric roll we partnered with manufacturers in Italy. With their help, we developed a specific colour for our collections which is Oeko-Tex certified. This means it is safe from an ecological point of view and does not release any harmful substances.
Sampling & Production (applicable to knitwear). We have partnered with a small knitwear design studio in London, owned by lovely Ben & Nora. They make sure the fit and quality of samples are the highest quality.
Washing. Small quantity production allows one to keep an eye on water waste. All the colours are oeko-tex certified reassuring minimum water waste and harmless to nature
Linking (applicable to knitwear). All of our knit garments are made using 'Fully Fashioning' technique. This means higher quality knit with less waste. All linked by hand.
